SECTION 1: INFORMATION
*Have you got a hidden talent?
*Do you love to sing and perform?
*Are you the next ‘Superstar’?
$1000.00 Cash Prize for the crowned SUPERSTAR SINGER!
INFORMATION:
>All contestants are required to Audition to gain selection into the Heats. Please review Audition dates and make sure that you are available for the audition.
>All contestants must fill in a registration form at/ before the Audition.
>Only a maximum of 30 contestants will be selected to compete in the competition.
>There is no restriction on Age, Gender or Nationality. Under 18 contestants must have guardian approval.
>There is no restriction on Solo, Duo or Group Performances.
>All songs must be sung in ENGLISH.
>If you are selected in amongst the top 30 contestants you will then advance to the HEATS.
>There will be a maximum of 10 acts per HEAT.
>After each Heat only the TOP 4 acts will commence to the SEMI FINAL.
>There is a total of 12 acts in the SEMI FINAL.
>Only the TOP 6 acts will advance through to the FINAL 2011.
*Should a contestant forfeit during the competition for an unknown reason, the next highest scoring contestant will take his/ her place in either the HEAT, SEMI OR FINAL.
SECTION 2: SONG PREPARATION & REQUIREMENTS
AUDITIONS
Each contestant must come prepared with at least 2 song choices to sing live in front of the judging panel. Instrumentals accepted.
The Top 30 auditions will commence through to the HEATS which will be allocated accordingly.
HEAT 1,2,3
Should you be selected to commence through in the competition there is a competition fee of $25 per contestant/ group competing.
The top 30 that progresses through to HEAT 1, 2 or 3 must come prepared with their OWN MUSIC either in a KARAOKE CD format or normal backing track CD. Instrumentals accepted and backing tracks without vocals are accepted.
IMPORTANT: Please ensure you LABEL YOUR FULL NAME on the CD and label your TRACK 1 AND 2 in the correct order.
They must select 2 Best songs to be performed infront of a live audience on the night.
· 1st song must be a slow song
· 2nd song must be a song with medium to fast beat
There will only be 4 contestants selected from each HEAT that will proceed through to the SEMI FINALS.
SEMI FINALS – TOP 12
The top 12 that progresses through to the SEMI FINAL must come prepared with their OWN MUSIC either in a KARAOKE CD format or normal backing track CD. Instrumentals and backing tracks without vocals are accepted.
IMPORTANT: Please ensure you LABEL YOUR FULL NAME on the CD and label your TRACK 1 AND 2 in the correct order.
They must select 2 Best songs to be performed in front of a live audience on the night.
· 1st song must be a slow song

*Singers must NOT sing the same song that they sung at any of the HEATS.

The top 6 that progresses through to the FINAL must come prepared with their OWN MUSIC either in a KARAOKE CD format or normal backing track CD. Instrumentals and backing tracks without vocals are accepted.
IMPORTANT: Please ensure you LABEL YOUR FULL NAME on the CD and label your TRACK 1 AND 2 in the correct order.
They must select 2 Best songs to be performed in front of a live audience on the night.

*Singers in the final MAY sing the same song that they sung at any of the HEATS or SEMI FINAL.
